about

We don't need permission to dream big.

At CLLA, we seek out the opportunity to design our surroundings to make them more functional, sustainable, and progressive. We work with our clients to set their expectations high and aggressively push for more from their spaces because we know that the success and prosperity of a community comes from people’s ability to live, thrive, and be proud of their surroundings.

Our philosophy

We need more symbiotic, human-centered spaces

Considering the human and natural environments, our work aims to limit human maintenance and create sites that are self-sustainable and able to evolve. We seek to discover and define who will be impacted at every stage of our work and allow this to guide us in the landscape design process. The spaces we create are shaped and driven by the people who will interact with it, being thoughtful about the way people live, work, and play.

Exceptional spaces built on relationship

Designing a great space is about connection and we love working with clients and collaborators who share our commitment to quality and integrity. Our emphasis on relationship builds trust into the design process. This results in functional and intentional spaces that are designed with users at the forefront while considering the broad impact and interaction with the ecosystem and the environment.

Integrity and dedication to the vocation

While the layout of plants and the natural landscape are important parts of a landscape architect’s work, we have a much bigger impact on people’s lives and communities than many realize. We help to create the spaces that define a community and impact the well-being, health, safety, and sustainability of those who coexist in it. Landscape architects study, analyze, plan, design, manage, and nurture the environment—combining science and art to improve surroundings and quality of life.

Involving landscape architects in the design process right from the start results in a comprehensive and discerning space that centers on how life happens. Building with the whole site taken into consideration at the start of a project creates a more cost effective solution that is sustainable for the long-term.
